Shali Water reservoir is an important tributary of Damodar river that drains the northern part of Bankura district in West Bengal. It originates a few miles west of Koro hill middle between Mejia and Bankura and joins the Damodar river. Here tourist can also visit the Koro hill which is very near to Gangdua dam. It is a famous dam which is located 4 KM from Amarkanan and 28 KM from Bankura. The 4,900 Feet dam across the Shali river with a scenic reservoir behind it. This is a beautiful tourist destination as well popular picnic spot. This is also quite a popular tourist attraction in Bankura. It gives an attractive view that is why tourist likes to keep visiting here.
