Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India
Named after Jahangir, the Mughal Emperor who legend claims stayed here for a few days, the Jahangirabad Palace, Lucknow is now partly in ruins. Elephant rides to the palace added to the charm of visiting this place. Once a splendid place, the palace is still worth a visit, even though there is not much of that splendor remaining. Jahangirabad is the estate of Raja Mohammed Jamal Rasul Khan, spread over the cities of Lucknow and Barabanki. The family is focused in heritage conservation as well as optimum utilization of there palaces. Jahangirabad Palace is perhaps the last lived in palace in oudh with the fine rise of the Raj still intact.
