CHARDHAM YATRA: Chardham yatra includes the Badrinath, Dwarka, Puri and Rameshwaram, situated in the four cardinal directions of the country. Char Dham was coined by Shri Adi Shankaracharya. It means four abodes of Gods. The significance of these places is that these places help attain salvation; or freedom from the cycle of life and death.
