Lord Varaha: Worshipped as the third avatar of Lord Vishnu, Lord Vishnu took the form of a Varaha, a wild boar with two tusks to protect earth from Hiranyaksha. A powerful demon Hiranyaksha (due to a boon from Brahma) has hidden earth in the depths of ocean, having realised his mistake when Lord Brahma meditated to Lord Vishnu, a tiny Boar fell from his nostrils it grew and grew till it was a size of a large Mountain. Lord Vishnu placed earth back in its orbit after killing demon Hiranyaksha.
