Architecture

Ravana had rested in this forest. For the worship of Lord Shiva, he had established Shivalingam here. Later in the dream, a priest dreamed of being Shivalinga in Bhadresh Jungle, later they had a temple. Temple was constructed in North indian style of architecture.

Religious Significance

It is mentioned in Shiva Mahapuran. According to folk beliefs, Ravana used to worship Lord Shiva every day by going to Kailash and used to bring a Shivling from there. According to the people, King Yudhishthira had established the Shiva lingam and worshiped it during the unknown. According to folklore, this site was situated amidst dense forest. It is said that the British army had to flee due to divine disasters, to capture this area. In folklore, there is a mention of theft once. It is said that some thieves also excavated the Shivalinga, but even after much digging, when the end of the Shivlinga was not found, when they started fleeing there, the wheel of their car got stuck there and became a stone.

History

It is believed to have been built by Ravan, who was a great devotee of Lord Shiva. It is an Ancient and Historical Temple, the exact date and Construction of the temple was remains Unknown.
