Architecture

Shivgadi Dham Temple has an entry arch and has a grabha gudi shrine. This temple of Baba Gajeshwar Nath is situated at the height of the hill, so devotees get a glimpse of the temple after climbing 195 stairs. 'Shivgadi' Mounted directly above the garbhagriha (cave) entrance of Baba Gajeshwar Nath Dham Temple, the mountain appears like a huge gajra. The rare Akshaya Vat tree existing above the entrance of this home cave, a huge mountain, has been found here after Bodh Gaya in India. The root of this Vat tree extends to the temple surface to the left of the entrance gate. Which seems to be seen as if Lord Shankar's hairs are moving.

After getting the groom, he became extremely powerful and vicious, due to its tyranny and fear, the sage Muni, the deity, started doing Trihimam - Trihimam. The sage munis and deities praised Lord Shankar. Hearing his cry, Lord Shankar killed Gajasur. Even while dying, Gajasur praised Lord Shankar so that Lord Shankar was pleased and said that this Shivling established by you will get fame in your name, people will know it as Gageshwar Dham. It is said that when Lord Shankar was riding on Nandi and killing Gajasur, Nandi stood on two legs. The same two footprints of Nandi fell on a rock which is still present and is known as Sivaganga. According to another belief, during the Mahabharata period, Lord Shiva was seen on this Devana mountain.
