Architecture
The name Rushikonda means Hill of the Sages. The Shiva Lingam in the temple installed by the Seven Sages. It is named after “Sapta Rushiswaralayam”. Sapta Rushis were lived in this place. So this place is called as “Rushikonda”. There are still 7 wells are situated near the temple. The Saptarushis were held bath in the 7 wells, then after performed Poojas to Sapta Rusheswara Swami.
