The Gurusaday Museum has a rich collection of approximately 3300 exquisite exhibits of folk arts and crafts, which amply reflect the vigour and vitality of the rural life and present a vivid picture of art and social traditions, religious beliefs, practices and motifs, as well as aesthetic assimilation and cultural influences. These objects span from the time of undivided Bengal to present day India. Restoration work-shop to repair, restore, and treat the objects scientifically are conducted here by expert conservators. Fumigation, de-acidification, lamination of manuscripts, and binding of rare books is done here regularly by experts.
