Maharaja Lakshmishwar Singh Museum is well located in the Darbhanga city. Lakshmishwar Singh was the king of Darbhanga and so the museum name is on the old king of the city.  The city has two museums one is Maharaja Lakshmishwar and the other is Chandradhari. The museum has very old metal works. There are many old medals, armories. There are also Ivory objects present there. There are wooden works also present there that was famous in Bihar at olden times. There is a good collections of stones too and there is a different section in the museum only for painting. The museum houses many famous South Indian paintings. There are old clothes and coins too and many other artifacts.
