'Nimisha' means a 'minute' and 'Amba' is the name of 'Parvathi'. Sri Nimishambha Temple is facing in East. The main entrance is through a 5 tier tall gopuram in sandal colour, which has many intricate carvings and statuettes on all sides. The gopuram conforms to Dravidian architecture and resembles the structure of most south Indian temples. On both sides of the doorway there are beautiful sculptures. There are no sukanasi and Navaranga in the temple compound. There is only a mukha mantapa, a massive bronze bell hanging above suspended from the ceiling of the mandapa.
