Sri Venugopala Swamy Temple is facing in East direction, the Rajagopuram is tall with the two statues of Lord Vishnu on both sides carrying distinctly different tools and weapons and with different expressions that provide a startling contrast which are believed to be from the Ganga era. The Small garbhagriha, while the shikara is in Dravidian style and the temple structure consists of a Navaranga (outer hall, Mukhamantapa (inner hall).

Pillars & Mandapams - The mukhamantapa’s pillars are beautifully decorated with intricate carvings. The temple with its pillars and frescoes decorated in the Hoysala tradition. The temple depict various scenes from Ramayana and the feats of Lord Krishna as a child, the pillars have beautiful statues carved on them. On the pillars of the main entrance stand two horsemen with swords unsheathed. The Navaranga has four black-stoned pillars carved with fine relief sculptures on all sides, such as hayagriva, dancing female figures with attendant musicians, a conch blower, a kinnara with the lower portion of his body in bird form and a huntress removing a thorn from her leg, etc.

Temple Walls - The outer walls of the temple made of stone are cover in the frieze, depicting various scenes from the Ramayana. The northern and southern walls narrate the entire Balakandam, the walls of the temple depict various scenes from Ramayana and the feats of Lord Krishna as a child.
